LUMETRONICS manufactures a wide range of precision custom built test & measuring equipment for various types of product testing applications. Our entire range has not been listed on this site. If you do not find the product you are looking for, please contact us. We would be able to design & develop test equipment to suit your requirements.

The equipment we develop in-house are the result of extensive R & D and have superior advantages over similar products available world wide. We maintain an extensive in-house library, are members of many relevant organizations (see Links) and keep our selves updated with International standards.

Located in the Industrial suburb of Andheri, Mumbai, INDIA, Lumetronics is housed in a 250 sq. m block within an Industrial complex.

• In 1980, Lumetronics was started by Jayantilal D. Mahidharia.
   
• Independently, he designed, developed and produced in 1979 the first Electronic Ignitor for High Pressure Sodium Vapor Lamps in India (around the same time these lamps were first introduced in India).
   
• In 1981, rented space in an industrial complex. Added facilities for machining and manufacturing of products for the lighting industry such as Ballast's, Explosion proof fittings, ignitor's etc.
   
• Being unable to locate high quality test equipment for in-house testing, we designed and developed our own range of safety test equipment.
   
• Upon request from our vendors and suppliers, started production of these test equipment to meet their requirements.
   
• In 1983, the present premises was acquired. Complete machine shop facilities were added. Large scale production of ballast's for Fluorescent lamps and other lighting accessories.
   
• Design and development consultancy provided for several industrial projects.
   
• Putting greater emphasis on production of high quality custom built test equipment, all standard production activities were suspended in favor of custom test equipment design, development andproduction.
   
• The LUMETRON brand name is now synonymous with high quality test equipment as justified by our growing list of satisfied Clients.
